My name is Erica! I joined the team in October 2020. I have been in the medical/dental field since 2007. I am married to my high school sweetheart Ivan. We graduated from HAYS high school in 2004! GO REBS!! We have two children, Matthew and Myla and two boxer fur babies Jake and Ali.



Scheduling Coordinator / Clinical Orthodontic Assistant - RDA
Hey there! I’m Maranda! I have been with the team since 2001 and have been in the dental field since 1993. Even though I was not born in the Austin area I feel like I have lived here in Buda all my life! I started out as a clinical assistant but then transitioned into the role of scheduling coordinator. I continue to assist and help in the clinic when needed. I am here to take care of all your scheduling needs, in addition to being the contact person for advertisements and sponsorships. I am married with two amazing children who keep me busy with dance and sports. We love spending time out at our ranch in Lexington, Texas. I also am very active in the community so you will always see me out and about when I’m not at work!


Financial Coordinator
Kim M. joined our practice in 2004. She has more than 20 years of combined dental and orthodontic experience. As our financial coordinator, she will assist you with any questions you have regarding your insurance or account with us. Kim is married and the mother of two boys, Carson and Grant. They live in the Manchaca area of South Austin. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and is usually involved in some facet of music, whether it’s singing, writing, or listening!


New Patient Coordinator
Hey everyone! My name is Paloma. I joined the Buda Orthodontics team in May 2021 as the New Patient Coordinator, and I’m loving every moment. I grew up in the Austin area and have been in the medical/dental field for 5 years. I have 3 amazing kids Carlos, Jazel, and Eleena. If you’re looking to schedule your first initial appointment with our office, I’m your girl! As the new patient coordinator, I look forward to getting to know you on the phone and meeting you in person.


Treatment Coordinator
My name is Roxy! I was born and raised just down the road in San Marcos, Texas. I have an amazing husband, Orlando, and two wonderful children Jasper and Ezekiel. We also have 3 fur babies Misha, Rocky, and Coco. I felt dentistry was my calling since I had such a wonderful experience with my orthodontist. I wanted to have that same effect on patients. Customer service and making patients feel comfortable throughout their orthodontic journey is my top priority.



Patient Coordinator / Clinical Orthodontic Assistant - RDA
Tracy joined our office in the spring of 1994 and is a clinical assistant, treatment coordinator, and one of our event coordinators. Tracy may be one of the first team members you’ll meet in the consultation or when you are in the dental chair. Her favorite part of working at Buda Orthodontics is the relationships that she builds with patients and their families. Tracy and her husband live in Buda, and have three amazing children and one precious daughter-in-law. Outside of orthodontics, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and being creative. Tracy adds a little sparkle to everything she touches!

Hello! I am Martha Hockaday, (soon to be Mrs. Azar). I was born and raised in small town southern Illinois. I moved to Texas about 9 years and fell in love with this great state, even the hot summers! I have been in dental for about two years and joined Buda Orthodontics in October of 2020. I always had the BEST experiences at the dental office and orthodontist when I had my braces growing up and I love to make sure everyone at the office experiences the same feeling I had.When I am not at work I am with one of my 9 sisters, my fiancé and hanging out with our 3 fur babies! My favorite hobby is cooking and I love having people over for dinner. I have a very blessed life and look forward to what each day brings!

Hey!, My name is Vee. I have been an orthodontic assistant since 2010 and have worked with Dr. Despot & Buda Ortho Team since 2018. I was raised in California and graduated from San Diego State University. Go Aztecs!! I live in Kyle with my husband of 10 years, and we love spending time with our 2 rescued fur babies, Echo and Baxter!! Being an ortho assistant I really enjoy meeting all our patients and being apart of making their smiles beautiful!!

Hey Y’all! My name is Mona. I am a Texan born & raised. I have been an orthodontic assistant since 2007. I joined Buda Ortho Team in June 2020 and absolutely love it! Loving everything about what we do in transforming patient’s smiles and their personal outlook about themselves. It is very rewarding to see the growth & confidence one develops during the treatment process. I have been married for 21 years to a wonderful man and blessed with 3 children and 1 grandchild. When I am away from work I enjoy baking, cooking and eating! My hobbies are walking, hiking with my family, organizing something or enjoying Netflix on rainy days snuggled up with my frenchie, Bohdey! I love everything about my beautiful, sometimes hectic, yet mostly wonderful, blessed life.

Sarah joined Buda Orthodontics in the fall of 2019. Sarah has been an orthodontic assistant for nearly five years. Sarah is one of the nine girls in her family. She enjoys spending time with friends and family. In her spare time, you might find her out shopping. One of Sarah’s favorite things about working in an orthodontic practice is building relationships and getting to know the patients and parents. Sarah moved to the Austin area in 2018 and is proud to call Dripping Springs her home.
